Tippi Hedren, star of Hitchcock’s “The Birds”, is the reason why 40% of nail salon technicians in the US are Vietnamese women. While doing humanitarian work in Norcal in the 70’s, she introduced them to nail work, leading many to getting licensed and pass along the skill.
