Since Milton Hershey and his wife didn’t have any children, they decided to build a boarding school for orphans. When he died, he left his entire fortune and the ownership of Hershey Chocolate Company in a trust to benefit the school. The school currently has about 2,000 students and over $12 billion in assets.
