In 1903, grocery owner Claud Hatcher got into a pricing fight after buying a large amount of Coca-Cola syrup and feeling he deserved a discount. When he was refused, he swore off Coca-Cola, started making his own drinks in the basement, and that feud eventually grew into the company that later gave us RC Cola.
