Scientists used computer analysis on thousands of bat calls and found the squeaks are real communication, not just random noise. The calls can target specific bats, like a particular neighbor in the roost, and a lot of the chatter sounds like everyday “stop that” drama, like arguing over space, food, or someone hanging too close.
